The researchers included hail from both Bangladesh and international institutions. Chair, Department of Economics and Social Sciences. BRAC University. Dr. Khan holds his undergraduate and master’s degrees in Economics from the University of Dhaka and a PhD in Economics from Indiana University, Bloomington (USA). His research interests include Applied Economics and Applied Econometrics. He has published in the areas of remittance inflows, debt financing, and public-private partnership.
Professor of Economics, North-South University Dr. Rahman earned his Master of Arts and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Houston (Texas). He also worked for the World Bank Dhaka Office, Bangladesh Bank, BRAC, and Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS). He has published in the areas of banking, monetary policy, environment, and economic growth.
Department of Philosophy, Jahangirnagar University. Professor Ahsan received his Ph.D. in applied ethics from Cardiff University, United Kingdom. Former Chairman of the Department of Philosophy at Jahangirnagar University, he also serves as the General Secretary of the Bangladesh Philosophical Society (BPS). His research focuses on the interface of ethics, environment, and socioeconomic development. He is also a media personality who participated in numerous talk shows. He has published over 25 academic papers and book chapters.
A retired Additional Secretary to the Bangladesh Government, Dr. Tanvir has acquired several other degrees, such as an MBA from Dhaka University, an M.A in Government Finance from Ulster University (Ireland), and an M.Phil in Development Economics from Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies. He has published extensively, both in journals and newspapers. His areas of interest include bureaucratic corruption, translations, media relations, and script-writing.
A retired Additional Secretary to the Bangladesh Government, obtained his master’s degree in Political Science from Dhaka University. Throughout his career with Bangladesh Government, he occupied various positions within the Postal Department, Cabinet Division, RAJUK, Ministry of Women & Children Affairs, and the Parliament Secretariat. His areas of interest include democracy and human rights, women’s rights, and parliamentary affairs.
B.A. (Hons.), M.A (English), LL.B., LL.M, Master of Human Rights Law (MHRL). Ms. Halder is a member of the Dhaka Bar Association, Bangladesh National Women Lawyer’s Association (BNWLA), Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST), Bangladesh Mahila Parishad (BMP), Awaj Foundation (AF), Self-Help Association for Rural People through Education & Entrepreneurship (SHAREE), Environment, Agriculture and Development Services Ltd. (EADS). She worked with international NGOs, such as UNHCR, Concern Universal Bangladesh (CUB), and OXFAM-GB. Her research interests include women’s rights, human rights and environment.
A professor of Neuro-Urology at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). He earned his MMBS degree from the Chittagong Medical College and a master’s degree in Urology from BSMMU. Furthermore, he had a fellowship in Urology with the Singapore General Hospital, and a post-graduate certificate from Toronto, Canada. Dr. Aman is a member of the Bangladesh Medical Association, the Society of Surgeons, the Laparoscopic Surgeon, and Urology Association, and the International Neuro-Urology Society. His research interests include medical education, health policies, and neuro-urology.
