Dr. CAF Dowlah

Dr. CAF Dowlah, a dual citizen of the United States and Bangladesh, is the Chair of the BIPS Board of Trustees. A distinguished professor, author, and researcher, Dr. Dowlah worked in both academia and non-academia. His academic credentials include a doctoral degree in Economics from the University of Southern California and three master’s degrees from esteemed American universities in Economics, Public Administration, and Law. Dr. Dowlah served as a Professor of Economics with the SUNY and CUNY university systems in the U.S. for three decades. He also served as a Visiting Scholar/Professor with the University of Miami Law School (Florida),

Mr. Mostafa is a distinguished member of the Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association and several other bar associations. Previously, he served as the Chief Executive of Amnesty International, Bangladesh, where he significantly contributed to the organization’s efforts and traveled extensively to participate in numerous international conferences and workshops on human rights laws and enforcement. Additionally, he is the General Secretary of Assistance for Legal & Humanitarian Affairs, Bangladesh (ALHAB), and a
member of Bangladesh Mediators Association (BMA) and Center for Integrated Social Development (CISD).

Mr. Huda brings significant administrative experience in Event Management and Communication. He also possesses considerable research experience in Human Rights, Democracy, and Survey Research.

Mr. Inam was a career-journalist with The Bangladesh Observer.  He took advanced journalism courses in the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany. He also worked for Bangladesh Chapter of the Amnesty International, and for the Bashundhara Group, a leading business and industrial conglomerate in Bangladesh, as a business executive. He brings in significant experience in journalism, media relations, and international business ventures.
